The Unge Spiludviklere association was founded by four young university students in January 2009, all of them with a strong interest in the gaming industry and the Danish gaming environment. The goal of the association is to spread knowledge and interest about game development among young people in Denmark.
To achieve that, Unge Spiludviklere organizes lectures, workshops and events at schools, universities and libraries with skilled lecturers to teach both about what is necessary for a game to be fun to play and how you can get started with game development. Since it was born, the association has formed contacts with several members of the Danish games industry and has a strong backing up. They are also the organizers of the Mini Jam, as well as other game jams such as the J-PopCon Game Jam in 2013.
You can access Unge Spiludviklere’s website for more information about the organization (in Danish), as well as being updated on their latest events.
